"As someone who had the honor of receiving my PhD in “女权主义 Studies” from one of the relatively few PhD granting departments of “Gender, 女性的, 和性研究”, moving from job to job at under-supported and institutionally marginalized FGS/GWS/WGS “项目” within small liberal arts colleges (SLACs), 有一个或更少(!) dedicated tenure-track professor lines, was severely demoralizing and marked by precarity. “At one level, one could argue that 女性主义与性别研究 becoming a department is a non-event.
